Smily Plans
We are happy to announce that we are connected with the new Smily Plans system. Rental Ninja will be included in the Smily Manager plan. Ask either us or the Smily team for more info about it!
Guests Module
A few weeks ago, in the Guests Module, the precheck-in form passport settings were opened to be configured on a Rental basis. That configuration was in the General Settings area. We have added it now to the Rental Settings area too. That could be useful for the cases you add a new rental and you need to configure it for the Guests Module. You can now do so directly from the Rental Settings area.
Tasks Module
We have improved the scheduled and recurring job forms. In the past, when changing the rentals selection in the form, the assignee and inspector were kept. Now we will only keep them in case they have access to all the new rentals selected. This way we ensure the assignee is able to complete all tasks generated, otherwise, won't be able to see them in the list of tasks!
Synchronization
We fixed a bug in our synchronization service. Such bug was located in one of the redundant synchronization systems to ensure your data is fully up to date. So probably it didn't have any real impact on your data.
Smoobu Sync
Due to a change in Booking.com bookings, in particular to it's note, we experienced a problem when parsing the credit card commission amount paid to Booking.com. Now it's resolved.
Tasks Module
When creating scheduled jobs or recurring jobs, we discovered a problem where you could assign the jobs to assignees who didn't have access to all rentals. This could result in assigning jobs to users who didn't have access to the rental of the job. We have fixed this.
Permissions
We have added a new permission! Now you can be more granular when choosing the permissions of a user to be able to see the booking cost breakdown. This way, due to data protection, you can show each user the information they really need to see upon their needs.
Tasks Module
We have fixed a couple of minor bugs in the new section of the Recurring Jobs. Whenever you were editing a Recurring Job, upon clicking in the breadcrumbs horizontal navigation, it was returning a 404 page. Another minor bug was a problem with the validation of the form when introducing the duration of the job. When using the component's arrows to increase or decrease the number, that field was not being validated correctly.
Guests Module
On the website, in the precheck-in form view of a booking, we have a "Reset" button. We have improved that button. Before, it was just deleting new not saved items in the form. Now it resets the whole form.
Tasks Module
We have improved the code which is responsible for generating the jobs from Scheduled Jobs. Some last-minute check-in/out time updates in bookings were not updating their related jobs. We have improved that so you can be always updated even for last minute modifications.
Tasks Module - Recurring Jobs
We identified a problem in which, upon manual modification of the duration of a job that was created from a Recurring Job, buttons were not working. We have identified the issue and fix it. It affects the app, so if this happens to you, go ahead and update to the latest version!
Rental Pictures
Whenever you visit the rentals page, we load your rentals and their main "poster" picture so by the image you can identify easily your rentals. Now, in some cases that was taking so much time because of the size of these pictures. We have improved that and now the page is much more efficient.
Tasks Module
We have fixed a bug where users were able to inspect some jobs even though the job was not completed yet. That will require an app deployment, so stay tuned for new app versions in your store.
Tasks Module
We discovered a problem in the Job generation flow. Whenever a booking was canceled their jobs were removed. But if by any change the booking was restored, the jobs where not created again. We have fixed this.
Tasks Module
We are happy to announce a new feature in the Tasks Module: recurring jobs! From now on, you can schedule jobs that are not related to bookings. For example: monthly maintenance works, monthly accounting tasks for the office personnel, or weekly check of the swimming pool! Enjoy it!
General: languages
German and Portuguese are here! The whole Rental Ninja ecosystem is now translated into these two languages! Download the new version of the mobile app to see the new languages.
Internal
We have improved our code quality checks! We have added some tests which are used to test our code and improve quality. This way, we can reduce the number of bugs that reach production by testing the code before setting it to live. This time, tests are focused on testing integrations with our Channel Manager Partners!
Tasks Module
From this week onwards, whenever a Job is deleted, we are saving by who was deleted. This can help us a lot in giving you support about the reason for the deletion. It can either be a user or Rental Ninja's system, by an automatic reason.

Next week we are releasing a brand new feature in the Tasks Module! We have deployed it only for our testing team and it is currently under quality tests. Stay tuned!
Internal
We have fixed a couple of bugs we found in our internal system to ensure quality in our internal API. That API is used every time you visit a page either from your mobile App or the website.
Rentals United
We are now synching your damage deposits from the bookings of your Rentals United account.
General
We have moved all of our Changelog to Intercom. You can now easily see it through our support center!
